Born 1980 in Kerala, Suresh Panicker completed his BFA from the Government College of Fine Arts, Thrissur in 2006 and his MFA in Painting from the University of Hyderabad in 2008.
Suresh uses images of local flora in his work, which convey socio/cultural messages about our environment. According to him, interior and exterior spaces create a sense of the transcendental and of man’s longing for the infinite and the unsullied. He tries to bring to light this overpowering nature of man.
Suresh has participated in a number of group exhibitions. He was awarded the ACK Raja State Memorial Award in 2006 and a Research Scholarship by the Lalit Kala Akademi, Delhi for 2008-09. He currently works as a Lecturer at the College of Fine Arts, Trivandrum.
